Frederick Douglass Elementary School of the Seaford School District is one One of Fifty-seven U.S. schools being named a 2020 National ESEA Distinguished School for the extraordinary success of their students. FDES is being recognized in Category 1 for exceptional student performance and academic growth for two or more consecutive years. FDES is one of only two schools named a 2020 National ESEA Distinguished School and the only one in Delaware for Category 1.
Mrs. Leveillee is one of 10 national recipients of the 2020 Terrel H. Bell Award for Outstanding School Leadership, and principal of a newly-named National Blue Ribbon School.
